Neither of these pays very well at all, so I also do a lot of office work.

If I could do just one near perfect thing I'd be happy They'd write it on my grave, or when they scattered my ashes On second thoughts I'd rather hang about and Be there with my best friend If she wants me ~ Belle & Sebastian
"The rarest thing in the world is to live. Most people exist, that is all." Oscar Wilde
Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.) ~Walt Whitman
"Maybe all systems- that is, any theoretical, verbal, symbolic, semantic, etc. formulation that attempts to act as an all-encompassing, all-explaining hypothesis of what the universe is about- are the manifestations of paranoia. We should be content with the mysterious, the meaningless, the contradictory, the hostile, and most of all the unexplainably warm and giving..." Philip K Dick
Me? I'm a queer poly tea-guzzling goth librarian cabaret artist.
Liable to be fannish about the strangest things with little or no provocation. At the moment I am primarily being fannish about British sci-fi television, and, in a great feat of meta, pre-internet fandom. But there's a lot more going on: Oscar Wilde, Sherlock Holmes (indeed, pretty much anything between 1880 and 1920); Oxford-authored kid-fantasy (His Dark Materials, Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, Lord of the Rings); Good Omens, Neverwhere, Pratchett's witches; even, once upon a time, good old Harry Potter.
Someone on 021410 used the following Oscar Wilde quotation to describe me. I'm not sure that I've ever been more flattered in my life, and only hope to live up to the following impression of me:
Sebastienne makes everything clearer and brighter and more real, "through the mere fact of her existence, through her being what she is - partly an ideal and partly an influence: a suggestion of what one might become as well as a real help towards becoming it".
